1st Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron (Flight "C")
On 19 July 1945 Flight "C" departed from Depot Field Guam arriving at Okinawa with 19 officers and 84 enlisted men.
All flights from 1st PRS were on detached service from the 311th Wing and were assigned to the 8th Army Air Force, 316th Wing. Flight C was assigned in July and the rest of the Squadron in September when they arrived at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, 9 Sep 1945.
These photos are all dated October 1945.
The first photo titled Katchin Hanto is looking toward Awase and the Katsuren peninsula (White Beach) on the horizon.
